I just stumbled across Sophie Blackall’s Missed Connections illustrations in the NY Times magazine- so great. Just the kind of art I appreciate- a bit whimsical, the kind that puts a smile on your face.
Reading through missed connections is intriguing and inexplicably enticing, It like perusing obituaries or weddings when you don’t even come close to a personal connection to the participants- you simply can’t help yourself. Missed connections is the same way- it seems like such a longshot, but perhaps that’s the fun of it- optimistically putting your feelings in writing and hoping for the very best. You can’t help reading and cheering for all.

Take a look at more if you get the chance- the whole collection is fabulous. You can find Sophie Blackall on etsy, or check out the Missing Connections, Love, Lost and Found book.
