2012, back to school
Cousins-Gone-Wild party from yesterday, (before I got the Christmas tree taken down). The amazing thing about this picture is that everyone pictured (everyone BUT the fluffy nugget looking out the window) went back to school today, even that cute grandma holding the pitcher. That’s my mom. After 40+ years of raising 8 kids, then caring for my Dad with Lewy Body disease before he passed away last year while also building and operating a bed and breakfast since 2006- is going back to school. She’s turned over the B&B to my brother and sister-in-law and is putting on her backpack. Her lifelong dream has been to finish college at BYU- majoring in music. She is a T-I-G-E-R- I am endlessly impressed by her energy, kindness and everlasting optimism in the face of all of life’s challenges. I know she’s nervous today… so, go girl! We are so proud of you!
New Years resolutions that really count or what I’ve learned from my mom:
1. Keep a kind word on your lips
2. Be quick to laugh
3. No matter the job, be a hard worker
4. Smile
5. Treat others the way you want to be treated
Imagine the kind of world it would it be if everyone followed these suggestions? A pretty great place to be sure…
