While we’re on the topic of cowboy boots and country livin’, I need to mention a couple of my favorite country folk. About 20 years ago my lovely spouse made a film called The Potter’s Meal, about Joe Bennion a potter and his family living in rural Utah. His wife and artist Lee Udall Bennion is spotlighted for a moment in the film but remains a bit mysterious. I have always been intrigued by her artwork and The Potter’s Meal left me wishing I had her style and creative mojo… and dreaming I could afford one of her paintings someday.

So, finally a spotlight of Lee, made this year and just released on YouTube by my afore mentioned lovely spouse. She’s in her studio, speaking inspiring words of doing what makes you happy and living a rich full life- a topic I think we are all sensitive to.

Check it out and subscribe to The Talking Fly for a weekly dose of inspiration. And if we all beg, maybe he’ll get The Potter’s Meal tranferred from film to video for it’s 20th year anniversary.

Do you know Lee’s work from before watching the video? Her work is so amazing, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were already familiar with it!

yes, please. Watched it in college soon after it came out, before I was a potter myself.

I’ve put a good word in, and he’s working on getting The Potter’s Meal on his youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/thetalkingfly, perhaps he’s publish The Potter’s Meal in segments or all 20 min. together.
Subscribe to the channel and harass him daily until he’s followed through!
