funny kid notes

funny kid note
Funny kid notes are the best, this one speaks for itself. It is possibly my favorite note I’ve ever read (secretly, of course) from my wonderful children. Quinn here is once again reminding me in writing to take a chill pill, calm down, don’t freak out, regroup, take a timeout, read some parenting literature, and try (attempt?) every day to be the best mom I can be.

warning on the bathroom door funny kid notes

A warning on the bathroom door, from Quinn.

This note was taped to the freezer door.

tooth fairy note

Here’s another from the funny kid notes Hall of Fame, this one was written to the tooth fairy.

At our house, when it comes to the tooth fairy, some bit of correspondence is generally included. Most of the time the kids want personal information like: What is your name? Are you married? Or how tall are you?

This time Fischer was going along with the rumor that a friend’s friend had gotten an RC car from the tooth fairy. I say, urban legend son. He did get three dollars though because it took that darn tooth fairy 3 nights to pay up. Sheesh! I mean what does a kid have to do to get some good service around here?

Maia is not shy about who she has a crush on. She lets the whole world know, she loves to shout it out, literally. This is from her backpack yesterday. Apparently, she has a new muse and his name is Clay. She is working on getting his number. Keep in mind she was 6 years old when she wrote this.

self portrait with bangs

This is a self portrait of Maia (at age 6). She doesn’t have bangs, but as you can see- she really wants them really bad.

funny kid notes

This note was sent thru the school valentine postal system from Maia (1st grade) to her big brother Fischer in 3rd grade. I’m sure he and all of his friends really appreciated it. Maia is one funny kid.

This note was found next to Fischer, asleep in the hallway.

As we all know in parenting there are some good days, and some not so good. This little note from my daughter Maia (6 years old) was left under my pillow last night, it made my whole day. she worked very hard and carefully on this whole Valentine, making the bracelet, drawing and writing, and packaging it all together, with just a little-tying things together- help from her dad. It makes me want to do my best by my kids and try and live up to their expectations of me, especially on days when you just want to suck your thumb in the corner. Many times I’ve found myself wondering who put me in charge, what do I know that qualifies me to be a parent? notes like this make it all worth it. I guess I am succeeding in some respects. so thank you Maia for the vote of confidence every mother needs every now and again.

Just in case you are not used to reading things spelled phonetically it reads: Dear Mom, you are the best mom ever. You should have an award and this award represents your happiness.
