We survived the 4th of July festivities with only one trip to the clinic for an x-ray due to a foot-float incident– the result of playing paparazzi with your sailing friends on their float. We’re pretty certain the brand-new (literally, one day old) Chaco sandals my husband was wearing saved him from a completely crushed foot. (Hey Chaco, can we get a new pair?)
Regardless of injuries… it was a great holiday- food, friends, fun. I must say I love the party vibe that surrounds the 4th- crazy costumes, dancing in the streets, men in kilts, treats at midnight and fireworks on a hot summer night- can’t beat it.

Now back to sewing, I’m making up some new goods for Park Silly Sunday Market this weekend, give you a peek tomorrow. It’s raining here- finally- putting out all the fires and watering the tomatoes.
