keep the guacamole green

I love guacamole, but it hasn’t always been that way. In fact I’ve only been a fan for about the last 10 years when I finally wised up, overlooked what I though I disliked and actually tried it. Yum- so glad I did!
So it’s strange that in all the years of making it by hand I just learned this trick… leave the avocado pit in with the guacamole and it won’t turn brown. Seriously, it works and you’ll look brilliant at your next party.

Guacamole recipe:

2 avocados
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon
1 tps. salt
1/4 cup fresh, chunky salsa

Quarter the avocados, peel off the skin and cut into chunks- save the pit.
Add pressed garlic, lemon, salt to avocados. Mix together using the back of a fork to make the chunks as big or small as you prefer.
Add the salsa, mix again. Drop in one or two of the pits and enjoy.
