Dumbarton Gardens

Thanks to everyone who mentioned this spot– we visited Dumbarton Gardens in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington DC and had an absolutely delightful afternoon.20120410-190908.jpg

The top photo of honeysuckle is just too perfect. I’ve never seen honeysuckle–even in catalogs–that have such pure white and pink coloration.

Thanks for the recommendation, just the kind of place I love to wander around and dream about having a garden (and a pool) like that!

We have something similar here in Charolotte, NC-Daniel Stowe Gardens. I love it-I’ll have to check Dumbarton out when I’m in DC.
