It takes a village
We arrived home to a tiny abandoned kitten in our neighbor’s care. They have gone out of town and the job has fallen on our family to run the feline neo-natal care unit, or I should say my daughter begged for the assignment.
Every bit of mother DNA in me is standing on end as I watch this tiny creature make it’s way through it’s early days without a mother’s touch and Pierre (our big cat) has turned his fluffy-spoiled-rotten-back the job of step-father.
It’s up to us for the next few days, I hope we can pull it off and keep ‘Sea Star’ alive and well. I wish I could claim intellectual property rights on the name ‘Sea Star’, but she came to our house thus named and as you can see… it really suits her.
