Creating Beauty: A Twist on the Classic Log Cabin Quilt

This quilt is inspired from the book Through the Garden Gate by Jean & Valori Gates. The book calls this quilt Tossed Salad and is a color play on the traditional log cabin quilt block.

It may look complicated but is just log cabin squares created with light and dark sides to create the beautiful and complicated, to the untrained eye, squares with the blocks set on point. The dark and light sections mimic the rows of a garden when the quilt is enjoyed in it’s entirety.
