there is beauty all around
Our neck of the woods (northern Utah) is seriously hurting for snow. It’s been eerily dry and cold with gross inversions along the Wasatch front. We’re lucky enough to be tucked away in the mountains in Midway (missing the bad air), but the ground is still brown. This morning we woke up to a Stephen King like fog, quietly swirling and floating in the patches of street light and then- a few hours later, the dim sunshine. Midday the sun finally burned off the fog. Everything, including the smallest blade of grass meticulously coated in snowy ice crystals.
The weeds get their ‘day in the sun’, looking epically beautiful for a brief spell. And still we wait for snow.
