Halloween Costume Gallery: Day 6

Here’s the next selection for Halloween Costume Gallery, Day 6: Viking kids.

Viking baby girl costume-

A basic baby girl dress pattern adapted with gold trim and an apron attachment. The hat is fleece, (fleece covered buttons for the metal rivets) the horns are made with white felt. The hair is just two yarn braids sewn into the hat. Booties are fleece with narrow black ribbon sewn on for laces.

Once again, why do I only have black and white pictures?  -still so cute though!

Viking Boy Costume-

The hats are made from fleece, felt and fur- cozy warm and comfortable for little heads. The boy costume has pieces of fur wrapped around the lower legs and shoelaces wrapped around to hold the fur in place. The shirt has a gold trim sewn around the sleeves and the neck, a piece of rough cut fur is draped over one shoulder and held in place with a belt or tie of some sort.
